Continuing a winning streak that began in September 1992, the Delta boys’ tennis team again defeated Yorktown on Tuesday night. The Eagles gained a 5-0 shutout victory over the visiting Tigers.

Delta, ranked 19th, improved to 9-2 with the victory. The Eagles will next play 8th-ranked Terre Haute South at 6 p.m. Thursday at Plainfield HS courts.

Delta limited Yorktown to just 10 games total in the varsity match. Tannon Dishman, Ben Bamidele and Tanner Southerland won singles matches. Joel Ashman/Brandon Jackson and Michael Curtis/Mason Knight won doubles matches.

The Eagles won the JV match 8-2 and now stand 6-0 for the fall. Freshman Adam Altobella picked up a hard-fought 8-6 victory in singles.
