Multiple Teams · Delta Tops Elwood

Wednesday evening the Varsity Eagles battled the elements prevailing over the Panthers 4-2. During the game the Eagles had to start and stop many times as there were 2 rain delays and 1 lighting delay.    Andrew Shafer picked up his first win on the mound to improve his record to 1-2 and Adisyn Coffey picked up his first save of the season by getting the final 3 outs.   The Eagles offense was lead by Adam Haynes who went 1-3 and had two key RBI.   Van Pelt, Coffey, Hinds, Pease, and Woodin also had hits, with Van Pelt leading all Eagles with 2 on the game.

Delta will return to conference action this Saturday against New Castle away at 10:00 am.   The 3-6 Eagles will look to continue to play better baseball and improve their HHC standings.  Come and support your JV/Varsity Eagles this Saturday in New Castle.
