Girls Tennis Shuts Out FW Concordia to Improve to 13-1

The Eagles clicked on all cylinders Tuesday evening in a 5-0 home-court victory over Fort Wayne Concordia. Delta, ranked 11th in the state, improved to 13-1 this spring.  Concordia, a team with five seniors in its top seven, slipped to 10-4 for the year and won only 18 games total in the five varsity positions.

Girls Tennis Tops Pendleton Heights 4-1

The 10th-ranked Eagles made up a match at Pendleton Heights on Monday evening and beat the Arabians 4-1. Delta improved to 12-1 overall and 4-0 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference. First off the court was No. 1 doubles, where Tynan Dishman and Maggie Manor won 6-0, 6-0.  They are now 14-1 for the season. Abby

Boys Track 2nd at County Championships

The Boys Track and Field team came up just short on Friday night scoring 139 point and getting second place. The Eagles were led by first place finishes from Quinn Backus in the 100 and 200, Abram Stitt in the long jump, and the 4×100 relay team of Brayden Stanley, Braxton Edwards, Stitt, and Backus.

Girls Track 2nd at County Championships

The Girls Track and Field team finished a solid second place scoring 144 points at Friday night’s Delaware County Championships.  1st place finishers on the evening were Kendra Keesling in the long jump, Rhian Cline in the High Jump in a jump off, Makayla Robles in the 3200, Nicki Southerland in the 800 and 1600,

Girls Tennis Beats Rival Marion 4-1

The 10th-ranked Eagles continued their success against arch-rival Marion by beating the Giants 4-1 at Marion on Wednesday evening. Delta now has beaten Marion 14 out of the last 17 times that the two East Central Indiana tennis powers have met in girls’ tennis.
